Hi, I’m Christelle.
A functional health practitioner helping people with immune disorders to regain health and freedom.
My work is about figuring out how to get your body back to balance.
My interest in holistic health began in my late twenties when I decided to quit the birth control pill after over a decade of use to manage irregular and heavy cycles. Though I had tried to stop before, the withdrawal symptoms were so severe that I gave in. This time, however, I was determined to find natural solutions. Living in Tours, France, working as an independent corporate coach, I was deeply immersed in a culture of self-improvement, determination, and optimism. Watching my ambitious clients overcome challenges inspired me to address my own roadblocks and improve my health.
One of the first books I read on nutritional medicine was Dr. Weston A. Price’s Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. I found it both poetic and profound— it opened my eyes to the devastating effects of industrialized foods on indigenous communities. As these communities adopted Western diets, their dental and bone health deteriorated, with each successive generation suffering more than the last. This stark decline was a direct result of processed, nutrient-poor foods replacing traditional, whole-food diets. To me, Dr. Price’s accounts told a sobering tale about human nature—how easily we trade sustainability for convenience, and the lasting consequences of such choices.
The body, in its infinite intelligence, always tends towards homeostasis. Nothing is haphazard.
In my free time, I began shopping at local farmer’s markets, exploring ancestral cooking methods, and switching to non-toxic beauty and household products. I focused on hormone-supporting foods, herbs, supplements, and incorporated gentle movement and good sleep hygiene. When I finally stopped taking the pill for good, my cycles returned smoothly and regularly. I was astonished—I'd long believed my body was broken.
2012 – off the pill and so relieved!
As I delved deeper into functional medicine, I began to reexamine the unanswered questions surrounding my father’s early death. He passed away when I was 12, from a pulmonary embolism linked to silent atherosclerosis. At the time, the medical community attributed his death to “bad luck” or “defective genes,” but I always felt there was more to the story. In hindsight, it became clear that there were deeper, more complex underlying causes at play—factors that went beyond what conventional medicine had recognized.
My father’s life was marked by significant stress: a demanding work schedule, poor work-life balance, a back injury that led to a sedentary lifestyle, and a diet that, while considered healthy at the time (low-fat, high-carb), didn’t support his long-term health. When I consider all of these elements together, it’s clear they contributed to his decline—revealing a far more intricate and multifaceted picture than the simple explanation offered by the conventional medical community.

After moving from France to California in my early thirties, my health took a sharp decline. I had recently graduated from the Nutritional Therapy Association’s Functional Practitioner course, eager to apply my coaching skills—skills I had developed as a corporate coach in France—to the wellness world. Despite following a clean diet, maintaining healthy habits, and implementing the basics I had learned, I still wasn’t feeling well.
I struggled with severe histamine issues and debilitating insomnia. Over time, my health worsened, and I was eventually diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. It was a difficult reality to face, especially since I was “doing everything right”.
The turning point came when we discovered that our home in coastal San Diego had mold. This environmental factor, which we had overlooked, was likely a significant contributor to my symptoms. It became clear that health is far more complex than just diet and exercise, and that environmental influences can play a pivotal role.
With my husband in London, 2019 – We hadn’t identified the cause of my symptoms yet. Interestingly, I always felt better on the road.
After discovering the mold in our home, we had the property remediated, and I began working with a functional practitioner who not only helped me regain my health but also introduced me to the transformative power of functional lab testing. This was a true turning point. Thanks to this approach, I was eventually able to put my autoimmune condition into remission—something I once thought was impossible. It felt like a monumental victory, and witnessing firsthand how these tools could guide healing fueled my passion even further.
Encouraged by my recovery, I decided to deepen my knowledge by furthering my training with Autoimmune Wellness and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, ultimately specializing in complex immune disorders.
As a practitioner, I combine a comprehensive intake process with advanced functional lab testing to uncover the root causes driving the disease process. This allows me to gain deep insights into the underlying factors affecting my clients’ health and create highly individualized, targeted plans to support their healing.
With my mum and brother in 2024 – I’m enjoying better health and ready to help others do the same!
I care because I've been there.
I know what it’s like to feel dismissed, defeated, and exhausted. What started as a desire to solve my own health issues, and better understand the mysterious nature of my father’s early passing, led me to discover my life’s purpose. I love helping clients uncover hidden health clues and guiding them toward better health. It is deeply fulfilling work and I look forward to helping you feel your very best!
In this ever-evolving field, I make sure to stay up-to-date in the knowledge I share with you.

Let’s demystify the way our bodies work.
Everyone deserves to live comfortably and happily, doing the things they love.
While we can’t always anticipate a diagnosis or a flare-up, the more we learn about how to work with our bodies, the freer we become to build the life we dream of. That’s what I aim to help clients achieve.
“Christelle has been kind, empathetic and understanding. She customized an approach based on my goals and comfort level and was a constant source of encouragement.”
